Lindsey Leavitt signing at The King's English

I spent my afternoon at The King's English for Lindsey Leavitt's book signing at the King's English.
I got there a little early so I could get a good seat & guess who I got to talk to for a few minutes? Lindsey. How cool is that? She is very friendly. Lots of fun to talk to. If Lindsey is coming where near you on her tour, I suggest you go. (Tour info here.)
The room was pretty packed when it was time to start. There was even a whole row of little kids on little chairs in front of me. I love our Local Writers. Bree Despain, Emily Wing Smith, Brodi Ashton, Valynne Maetani, Matthew Kirby, & Sara Zarr were all all right behind me.
There were stuffed animals, tiaras & candy necklaces!

There were cute little girls all dressed in pink that LOVED this book!
(The pink purse behind her is hers too.)

I also recorded the event, so even if you didn't get to go you can hear what Lindsey had to say.

When I got my book signed, I was with Brodi, Valynne & Emily. We managed to turn getting books signed into yet another party & there are now more pictures of me that will be showing up on the internet. After the books were signed, the pictures were taken & we let Lindsey get back to signing books, (We did wait until there was basically no line left.) we went back to the room where the reading & Q&A had been. Yet again I was the only non-author in the group. In circumstances such as that I mostly sit back & listen. At one point when discussing their books, I was told "Don't blog that." Which I thought was kind of funny. After awhile, the group decided to go get food. Seven of us ended up at The Dodo. If you ever get a chance to hang out with any of the previously mentioned Utah writers, you should because they are all fun to be around.

Now for the part you are interested in:
I have a copy of Princess For Hire signed to give away, along with a candy necklace & a bookmark.
I also have 4 bookmarks to giveaway.

That sounds like a fun time! Thanks for sharing with us, too. By the way, when is the deadline for your contest? I'd like to mention that in my blog post.

Thanks
