Waiting on Wednesday (2)
Waiting on Wednesday is brought to you by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week is The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong.
It is book 3 in The Darkest Powers Series.
If you have read The Summoning (book 1) or The Awakening (book 2) & don't want to be spoiled, don't read the summary.
SUMMARY: (from Kelley's site.)
Only two weeks ago, life was all too predictable. But that was before I saw my first ghost. Now, along with my supernatural friends Tori, Derek, and Simon, I’m on the run from the Edison Group, which genetically altered us as part of their sinister experiment. We’re hiding in a safe house that might not be as safe as it seems. We’ll be gone soon anyway, back to rescue those we’d left behind and to take out the Edison Group . . . or so we hope.
This book comes out May 1st 2010!
I admit, I've only read The Summoning. The Awakening is waiting for me to read it.
Who thought it could be so hard?
Borders Books had a coupon Monday & Tuesday that was good for 60% off of one book when you bought another one. You get get 2 discounted books if you bought 2 at full price. Picking out 4 books sounds easy, right? Wrong. Why? Because I like hardcovers over paperbacks & didn't want to spend as much as I would if I got any hardcovers. Not buying any hardcovers ended up crossing off most of my list & the other suggestions I'd asked for earlier. I even had a book already picked, when I discovered I could get it in hardcover.
What does this have to do with anything?
My adventures with being picky about books made me wonder who else is a picky?
Are you one of those people who has to have all the books in a set match?
Do you despise any format of book?
Do you care if the book is yours or borrowed?

This is a fun new meme from Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century.
Going along the same lines as Kristen, I'm going to name 10 books that I'm glad to have, even if I haven't had the chance to read them.

A title
I'm absolutely awful at coming up with names. I finally have one though!!! I had some friends brainstorm some ideas then pick which one they liked best. I hope I didn't duplicate anyone.
I know, boring post. No pictures, no books. I can say I have some books for giveaways. One is signed, there may be 2 more signed books in the near future. There are also books that I just want to share.
Now, I'm off to bed!

(Blue Bloods #4)
By Melissa De La Cruz
Release date: Oct. 6th 2009
For fair warning: If you do not want anything considered spoilery do not read the summary.
From Barnes & Noble:
With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss's true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. And only the cunning Mimi seems to be happily engaged. Young, fanged, and fabulous, Melissa de la Cruz's vampires unite in this highly anticipated fourth installment of the Blue Bloods series.
After ending in the last one, I can't wait to see what happens next.
If you want to read the 1st chapter go to Melissa De La Cruz's site.
First blog
This is my attempt at a book blog. Hopefully I'll have an actual title soon. I hope to review some books and have some giveaways. I need a little while to get things figured out & running smoothly.
